Ask 302 Tragedy

So here we are listening to Diller talk about Ask and the new rebranding. This morning they put up the redirect from AskJeeves.com to Ask.com. On a hunch Joe Morin thought to check out that redirect code. 302!! Damn shame. I thot they might finally be getting it.

The 302 isn’t so tragic. What, would they be looking to get link love passed properly by other engines?
Too bad things like site:domain.com without another search term don’t do doodoo. While I know that part of the draw of Teoma is the idea that it’s less easily “gamed”, giving webmasters access to see what’s indexed would at least be polite.
